Figuring it Out

2014 became the year of figuring life out. I still had no idea what I wanted to do for a career but I wasn’t going to sit around and wait for something to happen. I received my certificate in Events, took acting classes, worked as a glassy and in my spare time I’d help my brother, Bernard with his business, Marcelo Productions. Then one day while I was sitting outside my acting class waiting to go in, I received a text message from Lien. She told me that Zara was hiring for their first Perth store. I’d never worked in retail before but I loved the shop and decided to apply.

Around the time I finished my acting course, I found out that I’d got the job at Zara. I was officially a full-time retail worker and because of my schedule, I had to press pause on my acting. I didn’t mind too much. I was just excited to have a steady job in a new environment. Now for the first time, I felt like I was on the right path.

To be continued . . .
